Tobiah Tiger Cat after Surgery

I posted about our beautiful Maine Coon Boy Tobiah Tiger Cat a few weeks ago having an accident, his back legs were still not getting better and so the vet had to operate on him.  His left leg kneecap kept popping out and so they went in to cut a deeper groove so the knee could sit in properly.  When they got in there they also discovered his cruciate ligament was loose and they stitched it so it can heal tighter and all the other ligaments were torn.  Poor baby, he’s been in a bad way.  He’s not allowed outside but I can say he is getting better because he is driving me mad wanting to go out.  He’s off to the vet this Wednesday to check his stitches, but I think it’s another week or so till he’s allowed out.  He’s still a little wonky on his feet.

  2. Aww poor sweetie am sure thought he will be back to his normal self in no time hope you had pet insurance to ease the worry as I should imagine the surgery won’t have been cheap i don’t have it for my older dog and paid well over a hundred pounds just for him to have a tooth pulled out

    • Hi Paula, thanks for your message. He’s going to take a little while to heal up another couple of weeks before he can go outside. Unfortunately we don’t have pet insurance. It cost $3,000 with surgery, xrays, medications etc. ouch to our pocket.
